The Perseus Group, a multidisciplinary team of experts from various fields including medicine, safety management and pharmaceutical regulation, was set up with the intention of investigating and raising awareness of failures by the Medicines & Healthcare Regulatory Authority (MHRA), the UK’s medicines regulator, most specifically around the authorisation of vaccines for Covid19. Mostly unbeknown to the general public, and certainly not widely broadcast, is the fact that standard protocols for vetting and authorising vaccines for use in the UK were, quite simply, thrown out of the window in 2020. We went from Chris Whitty telling us that most people would barely know they had had Covid to a fanatical push to get every single person in the UK vaccinated – with a vaccine that remained under Emergency Use Authorisation (ie. usual check and balances were suspended) until March 2023. In other words, every person who has been vaccinated prior to that has been part of the testing programme. By definition there is no longer term test data because we haven’t had a long term. This is why vaccines usually take 10 or so years to receive authorisation.
If you are at all interested in what went on through the authorisation process – which if you have had one of these jabs you could be – then you can read what the Perseus Group has to say in it’s extremely thorough, well-referenced and accessible report through the link below. Perseus are also keen to see a Public Inquiry into what happened during the approval process. If you think this might be a good idea you can sign the petition in favour of an inquiry here: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/628165
Apr 27th update: the Perseus report has been sent to all 650 MPs and hand-delivered to 10 Downing Street.
